Complete nucleotide sequence and genome organization of Fig fleck-associated virus-2,a novel member of the family Tymoviridae

  The complete nucleotide sequence of a novel member of the Tymoviridae family of plant viruses with a distinct genome structure was determined and named Fig fleck-associate virus-2(FFkaV-2) based on the sequencing results.The 6 723 nucleotide viral genome comprises three open reading frames(ORFs) excluding a terminal poly(A) tail.ORFl encodes a polypeptide of 1 878 amino acid(aa) residues with four conserved replication-associated protein domains.ORF2 encodes a putative movementassociated protein of 461 aa residues.ORF3 encodes a unique two-domain protein with an N-terminal domain of unknown function and a putative C-terminal coat protein.Pairwise diversity identified Fig fleck-associated virus(FFkaV) as the closest homolog,and phylogenetic analysis clustered FFkaV-2 into the Maculavirus group based on RP and CP aa sequences.……
