  BYDV-PAV isolate is common isolate in Egypt. The cDNA of CP and ORF1 was produced by RT-PCR, and inserted into pGEM-T-Easy vector. The recombinant plasmid was confirmed by using restriction enzymes digestion. The sequence of the coat protein (CP), and polymerase gene (ORF1) of PAV of BYDV Egyptian-isolate was identified and its amino acid sequence was deduced. The coding region for the putative PAV CP is 603 nucleotides and encodes a Mr 21 639 (21ku) protein, ORF1 910 nucleotides and encodes 34 670 (37ku) protein. Sequence comparison of the CP gene and polymerase gene coding regions between the Egyptian PAV isolate of BYDV and other isolates of BYDV-PAV was done. The Egyptian PAV CP sequence shared 99% nucleotide and 97% of deduced amino acid similarity with the Moroccan isolate. The polymerase gene ORF1 sequence shared 93% of nucleotide similarity and 98% of deduced amino acid similarity with the Australian isolate.……
